Lord shiva, also known as mahadev or god shankar, is a revered deity in hinduism. he is depicted as having matted hair called "jata" or "dreadlocks, " a crescent moon on his head, a third eye on his forehead, and a serpent around his neck. he is often depicted with blue skin, holding a trident (trishul) and a damru (a small drum). lord shiva is associated with meditation, yoga, and asceticism, and is considered the destroyer of evil and the embodiment of ultimate cosmic power.
