Synthients from matrixsentinels are large, robotic machines in the movie the matrix (1999) that were created by the machines to hunt down and destroy the last remaining human rebels. they are equipped with powerful weapons and are able to fly and maneuver through the air. their sole purpose is to maintain control over the humans and prevent them from leaving the matrix. sentinels are controlled by the machines through a central system. the only way to defeat them is by using an emp (electromagnetic pulse) blast.
